The Andy McCoy Band
Andy McCoy came to prominence at the start of the 1980’s as the lead guitarist and principal song writer of legendary Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks. He was also in the Cherry Bombz with fellow Hanoi Rocks member Nasty Suicide. Subsequent Hanoi Rocks reunion tours and albums continued through the 2000s until 2008 when Andy and Michael Monroe decided they had taken the band as far as they could.
Various solo projects followed, as well as a stint as Iggy Pop’s guitarist.
In 2022, McCoy released the acclaimed covers album Jukebox Junkie and the formation of the Andy McCoy band. They play a mix of Hanoi classics and material from McCoy’s solo catalogue. 2024 sees Andy’s long awaited return to the UK for a run of shows in September.
